A Decade of Crafting Tatte Bakery Excellence
It all began in a modest kitchen in Bethesda, Maryland. Our founder, driven by a deep love for honest food and warm hospitality, set out to create a tatte experience unlike any other in the United States — a place where quality ingredients, soulful recipes, and genuine care come together in every single dish.
"We didn't set out to open a bakery. We set out to create a feeling — the warmth of coming home, the joy of sharing something beautiful, the pride of knowing exactly what goes into your food."
From our first location on Wisconsin Avenue, the Tatte family grew steadily — fueled by the loyalty of guests who recognized something genuine in what we were doing. Every new team member we brought on shared our belief that great food is an act of love, and that even the smallest detail — the fold of a pastry, the grind of a bean, the freshness of a herb — matters deeply.
Today, Tatte serves thousands of guests each week, but our spirit remains exactly as it was on day one: curious, generous, and wholly committed to the craft.
